Loch Katrine ( schottisch-gälisch Loch Ceiterein) ist ein aufgestauter Süßwassersee in Schottland. Er liegt in den Trossachs, gehört zur Council Area Stirling und hat die typisch langgezogene Form eines während der Eiszeit durch Gletscher entstandenen Sees.
An den Ufern von Loch Katrine lebte der schottische Volksheld Rob Roy und Schottlands Nationaldichter Sir Walter Scott ließ gleich mehrere Dichtungen hier spielen. Eine Dampferfahrt in die Romantik.
Schon die Anfahrt zum Loch Katrine durch die Trossachs ist malerisch. Das teils bewaldete Berg- und Seengebiet am Südhang der Highlands gilt als eine der schönsten Landschaften Schottlands. Das letzte Stück der engen Straße führt durch einen Märchenwald, die Bäume moosbedeckt.
