Victor Winston Farrell (born 8 May 1945), best known as Vic Steele, is a British former guitarist. He was the original lead guitarist of the Hollies. Career. Farrell was born on 8 May 1945 in Manchester, England. He played the guitar from early adolescence onward, and was inspired by American rock and roll.
Vic Steele (real name Vic Farrell) was one of the founding members of the Hollies in 1962, along with Eric Haydock, Don Rathbone, Graham Nash, and Allan Clarke. He left the band in 1963 to pursue his engineering studies, but still plays guitar occasionally and owns the white Fender Jazzmaster he used in the Hollies.
Vic Steele is a TV series set in the 1950s, following a detective who becomes a superhero. It features mystery, action, adventure and love, and stars David 'Preach' Balfour, Stephanie Boatman and Taylor Hawthorne.
