Season 1 (1981-1982) At Falcon Crest's winery, co-owner Jason Gioberti (Harry Townes) interferes in a nightly tryst between his niece Emma (Margaret Ladd) and field-hand Turner Bates, leading to Jason accidentally falling to his death.
After his father's mysterious death, Chase Gioberti inherits 50 acres of Tuscany Valley vineyards that his aunt, Falcon Crest winery owner Angela Channing believes rightfully belongs to her.
Terry sets out to win a wealthy husband at Falcon Crest; Richard fights back when the cartel demands control of his racetrack. Phillip tries to spirit Lantry out of the country while Chase and Michael look for proof of his dealings with Angela.
