The cathedral's interior, with its numerous columns, echoes the exterior colonnade and is reminiscent of a palatial hall, being 69 metres in length and 62 metres in height. The interior features numerous sculptures and icons created by the best Russian artists of the day.

26. Juni 2019 · The interior and exterior of the Kazan Cathedral were restored from 1950-1968. Religious services were resumed in 1991. 22. Okt. 2012 · In 1940, the Icon of Our Lady of Kazan was moved to the St. Prince Vladimir Cathedral. After World War II some restoration work was performed: During the period of 1950 to 1956 the interior was restored and between 1963 and 1968 the facades were also repaired.
