Death-Dealer returned to Fu Manchu and Shang-Chi realized the cards were a hidden mosaic of Fu Manchu's castle. Shang-Chi then began searching London for the location of Wang Yu-Seng. When Shang-Chi was knocked out by the poison from a giant scorpion that had been created by Fu, Death-Dealer helped bring Shang-Chi back to the laboratory. [2]
After being chased down by the organization and nearly killed by Shang-Chi under order of his sister Fah Lo Suee, he was given the title and attire of Death Dealer by Fu Manchu and became one of Shang-Chi's greatest enemies.

Fu Manchu soon needed his son, effectively rescinding Death-Dealer’s kill orders, as he needed the blood of his offspring to revitalize his Elixir Vitae, his serum of immortal life. When Shang-Chi attempted to escape capture by Manchu, Death-Dealer tried to stop him but failed and fled.
5. Sept. 2021 · Debuting in Master of Kung Fu #115 in 1982, Death Dealer's real name is Li Ching-Lin, and he is a member of the British espionage organization, MI6. However, it's later revealed that he's a double agent for Shang-Chi's evil father, Fu Manchu. Once his treachery is discovered, Shang-Chi is dispatched to catch him.
Following 1931's The Daughter of Fu-Manchu, Rohmer wrote nine more Fu Manchu novels before his death in 1959. Four previously published stories were posthumously collected into The Wrath of Fu-Manchu (1973). In total, Rohmer wrote 14 novels concerning the character.
