IRIS² (Infrastructure for Resilience, Interconnectivity and Security by Satellite) is a planned multi-orbit satellite internet constellation to be deployed by the European Union by 2027. It is intended to provide service to governmental agencies as well as commercial service to private entities.
16. Feb. 2023 · IRIS² will be a multi-orbital satellite constellation covering the full spectrum of needs for secure communication services to European governments by 2025 and commercial services at a later stage. It will be the EU’s third space flagship after Galileo and Copernicus.
