Mehriban Arif gizi Aliyeva (née Pashayeva; Azerbaijani: Mehriban Arif qızı Əliyeva Paşayeva, IPA: [mehɾiˈbɑn ɑˈɾif ɡɯˈzɯ æˈlijevɑ pɑˈʃɑjevɑ]; born 26 August 1964) is an Azerbaijani politician and physician who is the vice president and First Lady of Azerbaijan.
Mehriban Arif qızı Əliyeva ist eine aserbaidschanische Politikerin und First Lady der Republik Aserbaidschan. Sie ist seit dem 21. Februar 2017 Vizepräsidentin Aserbaidschans.
Aliyeva Mehriban Arif was born on 26 August 1964 in the city of Baku to a family of intelligentsia. Having finished secondary school №23 in Baku City with a gold medal in 1981, she entered the Treatment and Prophylaxis Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Medical University named after N.Narimanov.
On February 21, 2017, Mehriban Aliyeva was appointed as First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. This terminated her power as a Member of Parliament of the Republic of Azerbaijan on March 6, 2017. Mehriban Aliyeva is married, and has two daughters, a son and five grandchildren.
