Die Militärakademie des Generalstabes der UdSSR trug ebenfalls seinen Namen. In der DDR trugen das Ferienlager „Klim Woroschilow“ bei Templin und bis 1989/90 die „Kliment-Jefremowitsch-Woroschilow-Oberschule“ in der Leipziger Scharnhorststraße seinen Namen.
Semjon Moissejewitsch Kriwoschein (russisch Семён Моисеевич Кривошеин; * 28. November 1899 in Woronesch; † 16. September 1978 in Moskau) war ein sowjetischer Offizier, zuletzt im Range eines Generaloberst der Panzertruppen (mit Gardestatus), der eine wesentliche Rolle beim Umbau der Panzertruppen der Roten Armee und dem sowjetischen Sieg in der Schlacht bei Kursk spielte.
Der Name Woroschilows wurde der Akademie 1941 verliehen. Namensgebung. Seit ihrem Bestehen trug diese militärische Bildungseinrichtung die nachstehenden Bezeichnungen. 1832: Imperiale Militärakademie. 1855: Zar-Nikolai-Generalstabsakademie. 1909: Zar-Nikolai-Militärakademie. 1910: Imperiale Zar-Nikolai-Militärakademie.
