Българската комунистическа партия (съкратено БКП) е политическа партия в България, която управлява страната в периода от 1944 г. до 1990 г. Партията е основана през 1919 г. като наследник на БРСДП (т.с.), приемайки името БКП (тесни социалисти). По-късно добавката „ (тесни социалисти)“ е премахната, като остава само Българска комунистическа партия.
