Das Attentat auf Abraham Lincoln am Abend des 14. April 1865 war Teil einer Verschwörung gegen mehrere Mitglieder der US -Regierung und der erste Mordanschlag, dem ein Präsident der Vereinigten Staaten zum Opfer fiel. Der Attentäter war der Schauspieler John Wilkes Booth, ein fanatischer Anhänger der Konföderation.
