Bradley Cole Underwood (born December 14, 1963) is the current head coach for the Illinois Fighting Illini men's basketball team. Previously, he served as head coach at Oklahoma State, Stephen F. Austin, Dodge City Community College, and Daytona Beach Community College and assistant coach at Western Illinois, Kansas State, and South Carolina .
Underwood is the 18th head coach in Illinois history, hired in March 2017 as the Richmond Family Endowed Men’s Head Basketball Coach. He has won nearly 69 percent of his games during his 11 years as a Division I head coach, recording nine 20-win seasons.
The team is currently coached by Brad Underwood, who was hired on March 18, 2017. Through the end of the 2017–18 season, Illinois ranks 12th all-time in winning percentage and 15th all-time in wins among all NCAA Division I men's college basketball programs.
