  3. Both small bridges were destroyed by Parliamentary troops in 1643 but rebuilt five years later. Silver Street Bridge, or Small Bridge, was built in 1841 of cast-iron, brick and stone in replacement of one described as dilapidated in 1836. The total cost was £19,56.
