Eluveitie (ausgesprochen «el-veiti») ist eine neun Mitglieder umfassende schweizerische Folk-Metal-Band aus Winterthur, deren Mitglieder ursprünglich aus allen Teilen der Schweiz kommen. Hey everybody - we’re excited to finally lift the curtain! Ever since Nicole Ansperger decided to step short and leave Eluveitie for personal reasons and to shift her focus, more than a year ago, it obviously wasn't an easy task to find somebody to fill that gap.
Eluveitie (/ ɛ l ˈ v eɪ t i / el-VAY-tee; German: [ɛlˈfaɪ̯tiː]) is a Swiss folk metal band from Winterthur, Zürich, founded in 2002 by Chrigel Glanzmann. The project's first demo, Vên, was released in 2003. Vên was a studio project of Glanzmann's, but its success led to the recruitment of a full band.
Born in the rural mysticism of the Swiss alps and since the beginning deeply rooted within Celtic history, mythology and spirituality, Eluveitie have long become one of the most original and inventive metal bands and a style-defining constant the modern metal scene can't be imagined without.
1. Nov. 2022 · After three years of silence, ELUVEITIE step out of the dark again. Today, the band releases their new single 'Aidus', following the huge success of their last album Ategnatos but in the same time showing the band from a never-before-seen side.
