  3. The Ross Gazette. The "Ross Gazette" was first published at 7 pm on Wednesday 2nd January 1867 and dated the next day. It was four pages, very similar to the modern Gazette, and cost 1 penny. The initial print run was one hundred copies a week, which was raised to 1500 a fortnight later.
