3. Okt. 2019 · On June 2, 1985, a man named Charles Ng was arrested in a San Francisco hardware store for attempting to shoplift a vise. It would have been an ordinary arrest, but the officers at the scene ended up getting more than they bargained for. As they took Ng into custody, a friend of his turned up to pay for the vise.
18. Apr. 2019 · Authorities examined Lake’s car. He was arrested for carrying a gun with a silencer, and his vehicle—stolen from one of his dead victims—ultimately led police to the scene of his worst crimes. A nightmare awaited: Fragmented human remains were scattered across the property.
26. Mai 2017 · According to Criminal Minds , on June 2, 1985, Ng was caught shoplifting in a hardware store in South San Francisco and fled the scene. Lake, who was with him, was arrested in their car outside the store when a .22 revolver illegally fitted with a suppressor, bullet holes and blood stains were found inside the car.
22. Nov. 2022 · The 6.5-inch-by-3.5-inch cinderblock bunker caught the eye of the police. It was soon discovered that this is where Leonard Lake and Charles Ng would keep their female prisoners while they were sexually assaulted and tortured. The women were shackled to a chair or the floor.
21. Dez. 2022 · Crime Scene House. It's difficult to imagine that the kind of evil friends Leonard Lake and Charles Ng unleashed could happen anywhere. But in California in the 1980s, the two murdered at least 11 people and potentially as many as 25 for both monetary gain and for grotesque sexual fantasies.
Their reign of terror finally came to an end when they attempted to steal a $75 vice from a lumber yard on 2nd June 1985. They were spotted by employees, who chased them outside. Ng took off on foot, but Lake stayed behind until San Francisco police arrived at the scene.
