The Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) is a private music conservatory in Cleveland, Ohio. The school was founded in 1920 by a group of supporters led by Martha Bell Sanders and Mary Hutchens Smith, with Ernest Bloch serving as its first director.
Geschichte. Das Institut wurde 1920 von mehreren Unterstützern unter der Leitung von Martha Bell und Mary Hutchens gegründet. Erster Direktor wurde der aus der Schweiz stammende Komponist Ernest Bloch, der das Amt bis 1926 versah und dann nach San Francisco ging.
