Death and legacy. James J. Braddock North Hudson Park in North Bergen, New Jersey. After his death in 1974 at the age of 69, James J. Braddock was interred in the Mount Carmel Cemetery in Tenafly, New Jersey. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2001.
