Scarborough Health Network (SHN) is a hospital network in Scarborough, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It operates the Scarborough General, Centenary, and Birchmount hospitals. The three are major community health hospitals with teaching affiliations to the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine.
Scarborough Health Network’s (SHN) Strategic Plan 2024-2029 builds upon the commitments, achievements, and progress we have made since our inception, and elevates our role in providing a more integrated healthcare system for Scarborough.
The Scarborough Ontario Health Team (SOHT) is a network of over 30 partner organizations working together to provide health and community services across the continuum of care to patients and families in Scarborough.
Our SHN emergency departments are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We have specially-trained ED teams of emergency care doctors, nurses, consultants, attendants, technicians, crisis/social workers, clerical/support staff and volunteers.
