Simon Yam is a Hong Kong actor and photographer. Before joining the TVB Artiste Training Course, Wah worked as a salesperson and model. He made his TV debut in the drama series "CID". Like many other TV superstars, he, after becoming a household name, stepped onto the silver screen and, in 1979, appeared in "Law Don".

In December 2009 after over a year of post-production, positive response at the Shanghai International Film Festival, The Storm Warriors was released with Choi taking on the main female lead role as Second Dream and starring alongside Aaron Kwok, Ekin Cheng, Simon Yam and Nicholas Tse.
Based on a real murder-suicide case in Tin Shui Wai in 2004, the film attempts to raise awareness of some issues related to new immigrants in Hong Kong. The film stars Simon Yam as Lee Sum, the abusive husband, and Zhang Jingchu as Wong Hiu-ling, his wife.
