Die Philharmonie Berlin ist seit 1963 das musikalische Herz Berlins. Bei der Eröffnung noch an der Peripherie West-Berlins gelegen, wurde sie nach der Wiedervereinigung Teil der neuen urbanen Mitte. Ihre ungewöhnliche, zeltartige Form und ihre weithin leuchtende, gelbe Farbe macht sie zu einem der Wahrzeichen der Stadt.
