Somalia, officially the Federal Republic of Somalia, is the easternmost country in continental Africa. The country is on the Horn of Africa and is bordered by Ethiopia to the west, Djibouti to the northwest, the Gulf of Aden to the north, the Indian Ocean to the east, and Kenya to the southwest.
Somalia liegt am Horn von Afrika. Nach Sturz des autoritären Regimes Siad Barres 1991 war das Land gekennzeichnet von Staatszerfall, Bürgerkrieg, Clanrivalitäten und islamistischem Terror.
