9. Sept. 2021 · The second season of RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under was officially confirmed via World of Wonder's Instagram on September 9, 2021. Casting opened the same day, with deadline of October 5, 2021. On June 21, 2022, it was announced by Stan and TVNZ that the season would premiere on July 30, 2022.
The second season of RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under premiered on 30 July 2022 and concluded on 17 September 2022. The cast was announced via TVNZ's Instagram account and a live interview with Kween Kong on TVNZ's Breakfast show on 7 July 2022.
