Taft At A Glance. The Taft School is an academically rigorous co-educational college-preparatory boarding and day school in New England for students in grades 9-12. Close to 600 students from 44 countries and 33 states prepare for college at this academically rigorous school set on 226 acres.
Along with Lawrenceville, Groton, Milton, and its athletic rival Hotchkiss, Taft was one of the first New England schools founded during the great boom in boarding schools at the turn of the twentieth century.
Taft offers more than 200 courses—both required and elective—every semester. Taft students may also choose to study away from Taft for a semester or two, propose an independent course of study, or enroll in Global Online Academy classes.

The Taft Coliseum is a 5,003-permanent seat multi-purpose arena located at the Ohio Expo Center and State Fairgrounds in Columbus, Ohio. History. It opened in 1918 and is nicknamed "The Barn". The facility hosted the 1929 NCAA Wrestling Championships. The Coliseum has become a legendary and traditional high school basketball venue.
