JE crowns Tulip Princess in revived tradition. On Sunday, Jonathan Edwards College crowned Cam Bell ’23 as its first Tulip Princess — a student who most embodies the “spirit of the tulip” — since 2012. Jack Devlin. Jonathan Edwards was born John Evan Edwards on July 28, 1946, in Aitkin, Minnesota. At the age of six, he moved with his family to Virginia, where he grew up. At the age of eight, he began singing in church and learning to play piano by ear.
