Economist and professor, Marina von Neumann Whitman (b. 1935) grew up in Princeton, New Jersey, the only child of Marietta and John von Neumann, world-renowned mathematician, inventor of game theory, and computer pioneer. Educated at Radcliffe College (BA 1956) and Columbia University (PhD 1962).
