From 1973 to 1978 he was the first Commissioner of Cavalcade (currently the Executive Director position) and was elected to this role by member band directors. From 1978 – 1980 is was the Administrative Coordinator for Cavalcade and was a Chief Judge into the 1990’s . William Lawler passed away on July 21, 2010.
