Bruce Kunkel. Bruce Kunkel, a founding member of the NGDB, contributed guitars, washtub bass, kazoo, and vocals from 1965 to 1967. His work on the band’s first two albums, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Ricochet, helped establish their unique blend of country, folk, and jug band music. Dave Hanna
