We caught up with the Canadian producer and guitarist to hear his memories of working with U2 and Dylan, how his beloved ’53 Goldtop is like no other Les Paul he’d ever seen, and why he’s embracing gospel tradition on his new record, Heavy Sun, even if he’s “not much of a church man”.
