Shore’s score credits span over 90 films, most notably for The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film trilogies. A long-term collaborator with writer and director David Cronenberg, CRIMES OF THE FUTURE marks Shore’s 16th feature film collaboration with him since 1979.
That partnership began with Shore's tense, Psycho-influenced orchestral score for 1979's The Brood and was still going strong by the arrival of 2022's Crimes of the Future, their 18th collaboration. Born in Toronto, Canada in 1946, Shore began studying music as an eight-year-old and was playing in bands by the age of 13.
