Seine Aufnahmen aus den 50ern sind allesamt Klassiker. Meine Lieblingsaufnahmen waren aber immer schon seine "Final Sessions" von 1963. Natürlich ist auch hier die Aufnahmequalität nach heutigen Maßstäben nicht perfekt aber viel besser als bei den 50erAufnahmen und ich mag Elmore James so wie hier in kleiner Besetzung ohne Bläser, nur mit dr, b, p.
