Even though Girton is a large college, we are a close-knit community. The History Fellows are committed to providing a supportive, intellectually stimulating environment: what one student described as ‘a safe place to be intellectually daring.’ Girton is a place where we go the extra mile to ensure that everyone can fulfil their academic potential.
Girton College has a 150-year pioneering history that is well worth reading about here. We have a large and diverse community of Postgraduates from over 60 countries. The gender balance is fairly even and we have an intake each year of approximately 200 new students and have another 140 or so continuing students. The balance between research and one-year degrees is about one-third to two-thirds.

Girton College is cashless, debit or credit cards are accepted. The college offers free on-site parking to visitors at the Mare's Run car park.
