Okt. 2013 · "Five Red Herrings" (1931) follows "Strong Poison" (1931) in the Wimsey series and it is a relief to find that Harriet Vane is absent from this volume, since I have taken a strong dislike to her, but that's about the only positive thing I have to say...Okay, that's an exaggeration. The Scottish scenery is described beautifully, as you might expect in a mystery about a colony of painters.
