The album “Till the band comes in” is slowly finding an audience. It’s a great album and works well as an epilogue to his ‘60’s work. By ‘78, the time of the “Nite Flights” album (his first four compositions in 8 years that appeared on an album) his writing had completely changed.

It sounds fantastic and it’s also a great album. It works as an epilogue to Scott’s ‘60’s albums. Scott would never make anymore albums like this ever again. By ‘78 - the period round the “Nite Flights” album, his writing had completely changed and the ’60’s sound was long gone, never to come back.

16. Aug. 2013 · Terribly over the top, a mismatch made in heaven, destroying Scott Walker's sound and the sounds he tries (namely ragtime, and commercial 70s easy listening pop). Even as an ardent fan, I've avoided the wilderness years, and quite frankly I should've kept avoiding them. Purchasing 'Til the Band Comes In from Amazon helps support Album of the Year.
