Unfortunately, CKY would never again be as hot as this. 2002's IDR came close, but as time pulls these guys further and further away from the CKY crew days, they are losing that magic that gave use Volume 1. The band’s full-length debut, Volume 1, led to a Vans Warped Tour slot and a major-label record deal for 2002’s Infiltrate-Destroy-Rebuild. Despite lineup shifts that saw Miller depart, CKY have remained a ferocious live band—as heard on 2021’s live holiday special, fuCKYou2020—and they’ve continued to churn out a heady mix of stoner rock, prog, skate punk and throwback heavy metal.
