The Cansino family’s emigration to the United States was encouraged by the influential Stuyvesant family: The Stuyvesant family traced its origins to the last director general of the New Netherland colony, Petrus Stuyvesant.

Eduardo Cansino Reina (Castilleja de la Cuesta ), 2 de marzo de 1895 - Pompano Beach, 24 de diciembre de 1968) fue un bailarín y actor español. Fue hermano de la bailarina Elisa Cansino , y padre de tres hijos a los que enseñó su profesión, dos de los cuales se hicieron también actores, siendo la mayor la famosa actriz del Hollywood clásico Rita Hayworth .
Eduardo Cansino was born on 2 March 1895 in Seville, Spain. He was an actor, known for The Loves of Carmen (1948) and Ramar of the Jungle (1952). He was married to Volga Hayworth. He died on 24 December 1968 in Pompano Beach, Florida, USA.
