An Impact player for almost the entirety of the 1990s and the 2000s, he worked his way up from the club’s assistant manager to the top job before joining the CanMNT program in 2018. As well as five years as assistant head coach of the national team, he led the Under-20 side in 2022-23.

Biello Sr. spent the best part of a quarter of a century with the club formerly known as the Montreal Impact, playing for them nearly every year between 1993 and 2009, at which point he joined their coaching staff.
