14. Juli 2016 · The appetite for film was strong in Denmark, and the first Danish-produced film came in 1897 with Kørsel med Grønlandske Hunde (Driving with Greenland Dogs) by Peter Elfelt. In 1906, cinema entrepreneur Ole Olsen founded Denmark’s first (and one of the world’s first) film production studios, Nordisk Films Kompagni (which still operates today as Nordisk Film).
