Geschichte. Nach der Trennung von Polydor Records war E.S.P. das erste Studioalbum der Bee Gees, das von Warner Bros. herausgebracht wurde. Erstmals seit dem Album Main Course im Jahr 1975 fungierte wieder Arif Mardin als Produzent für ein Bee-Gees-Album. Die Aufnahmen fanden im Middle Ear Studio Miami Beach in den USA statt.
