Beyond that, I'll give James Gang credit for trying to incorporate variety into this album, but maybe they tried a little too hard at that. There's a jarring lack if identity or continuity. Joe Walsh, humorously, has himself down in the credits for instruments, vocals, and "train wreck." I'm not sure he was thinking of the same issue as me, but it seems somehow apropos.

The title Bang is not the same on the front cover on this release as it is on this similar release James Gang - Bang, which has the title traced in black on the front cover. Black tray jewel case with 2 page booklet. Originally released in 1973. Tracks 1 to 6, 8 and 9 recorded at Cleveland Recording Company Studios, Cleveland, OH.
