The USA lost more personnel to disease (63,114) than to combat (53,402), largely due to the influenza epidemic of 1918.
The formal Treaty of Versailles was signed on June 28, 1919, but the US Senate refused to ratify the treaty. The United States suffered 53,402 battle deaths in World War I, in less than six months of fighting. Another 63,1114 died from accidents and disease.
