I LOVE Drive, Bronson is cool, Only God Forgives is weird, but I'm not sure what I think about Neon Demon. My favorite thing about these movies is the visuals. Even in her first shoot, when told to strip, a lesser film would have presented it as a violation, undignified, peer pressure forcing her to reveal what she wasn't comfortable with. But Refn has her own it, embrace the experience, luxuriate in it.

Thanks! Suspiria and Black Swan are the two that come to mind first. When I saw the trailer for The Neon Demon I immediately likened it to Black Swan. The film I got was wonderfully different from that, but it has similarities. For moody films, check out Solaris, Blade Runner, Wild at Heart or anything by Kieslowski.
