Das Gustavianum ist eines der älteren Gebäude der Universität Uppsala in Schweden. Es wurde 1622–1625 am Domplatz, direkt gegenüber der Kathedrale erbaut. Neben einem permanenten Museum und wechselnden Ausstellungen ist in der Kuppel der Anatomielehrsaal von Olof Rudbeck zu besichtigen.

Since its establishment in 1997, our mission has been to make the collections accessible to the public and to serve as a place of collaboration between the university and the surrounding community.
Gustavianum is the oldest standing building of Uppsala University. It was built between 1622 and 1625, and was used as the main building of the university between 1778 and 1887. Since 1997, it has been used as the university's museum.

Apr. 2024 · In the new Gustavianum, the collections are presented in a series of new exhibitions: The Anatomical Theatre, The University Art Collection, The Mediterranean Sea and the Nile Valley, Coin Collection, The University's History and the History of Science and The dawn of the Viking Age.
9. Apr. 2024 · Since 1997, Gustavianum has been a public museum where the university's rich cultural heritage collections are on public display in permanent and temporary exhibitions. In autumn 2019, Gustavianum closed one again for extensive renovation.
Gustavianum is Uppsala University’s oldest preserved building and houses thousands of years of history. In the museum’s permanent exhibitions, you will find parts of the collections that Uppsala University has gathered since its foundation in 1477.
The shelves in the pleasantly musty building hold case after case of obsolete tools and preserved oddities: stuffed birds, astrolabes, alligator mummies, exotic stones and dried sea creatures. A highlight is the fascinating 17th-century Augsburg Art Cabinet and its 1000 ingenious trinkets.
