Cadets arrive for nearly a year of training in the leafy expanses of this military enclave on the Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey border. Founded in the early 1800s, the buildings are suitably prestigious and filled with tradition.

1. Nov. 2019 · Sandhurst has been the Royal Military Academy since its founding in 1812. There are several magnificent buildings -- the Old College in particular. The New College is also a nice building but unfortunately the more modern buildings are brutalist concrete pillar looking things. The ponds were dug by French POWs from Napoleonic times.
