Damals aber hieß die Band um Gitarrist Dave Hill (*04.05.1946), Schlagzeuger Don Powell (*10.09.1946), Gitarrist Mickey Marston, Bassist Dave Jones und Sänger John Howells erst einmal „The Vendors“. 1966 stieß der Sänger und Gitarrist Noddy Holder (*15.06.1946) dazu.
