14. Nov. 2023 · Jinny Osborn (April 25, 1927 May 19, 2003), born Virginia Cole, was an American popular music singer. She founded the group The Chordettes with three friends in 1946, which became one of the longestlasting American vocal groups of the mid20th century.
The group was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2001. The original members were: Janet (Buschmann) (Ertel) Bleyer, bass vocals, 1946-1957 (longer for recording) Alice Mae (Buschmann) Spielvogel 1946-1947.
