  1. Magdalen College is one of the constituent colleges of the University of Oxford. It was founded in 1458 by William of Waynflete, Bishop of Winchester and is named after Mary Magdalene.   3. Magdalen is currently home to around 400 undergraduate students, 200 graduate students, lots of friendly Fellows and staff, and a herd of deer. That might sound a lot, but the brilliant thing about having such a large College is that there is plenty of space for everyone.

There has been a continuous tradition of academic study on the site for nearly 600 years, Magdalene admits roughly 100 undergraduate students each year for all courses offered by the University of Cambridge, and roughly 80 postgraduate students.
