Northfield Mount Hermon (NMH) is an independent, secular, coeducational boarding and day school for 650 students in grades 9–12 and a postgraduate year. Located in bucolic western Massachusetts on the Connecticut River, the school engages the intellect, talent, and compassion of its students and empowers them to act with humanity and purpose.
Every spring, about 20,000 gallons of sap are tapped from the maple trees at NMH and made into syrup and other maple products — some of it by workjob students who spend their spring break helping with our sugaring operation. You can get a sweet taste of NMH by shopping at our Farm Store. Maple syrup is available year-round while supplies last.
