Maroš Šefčovič is a Slovak diplomat and since 1 November 2014 Vice President of the European Commission in charge of the Energy Union. In this role he is responsible for establishing a European Energy Union by connecting infrastructures, enforcing legislation and increasing competition to help drive down costs for citizens and businesses and boost growth.
