American cinematographer Milton Krasner first turned 'em over at Brooklyn's Vitagraph studios in 1918; he last focused his lenses on 1970's Beneath the Planet of the Apes. Starting out as a teenaged assistant, he became a lighting cameraman in 1933 and full director of photography in the '40s. In this capacity, he shot over 170 features within a three decade period.
