Lambchop ist eine US-amerikanische Rockband aus Nashville, Tennessee. Die Band ist ein bis zu 18-köpfiges Kollektiv um den ehemaligen Parkettleger Kurt Wagner, der sowohl die Texte als auch die Musik schreibt und mit seiner leicht rauchigen Stimme den Sound der Band prägt.
After trying a few different names they settled on Lambchop and signed to Merge Records in 1993 releasing their debut single Nine that year. Never a band with a "core" lineup, Lambchop has consisted of a large and fluid collective of musicians focused around its creative centre, frontman Kurt Wagner .
This will be a chance to experience Lambchop's classic songs in a new light, stripped down to their essence and presented in a way that highlights their emotional power and depth. Lambchop was formed in Nashville in 1986 and has since released over a dozen critically acclaimed albums on City Slang and Merge Records.
